Pretty Pets and Rainbow Pretty Pets

Pretty Pets were released by Remco in 1982. Two years later, in 1984, a second line came out that was called Rainbow Pretty Pets.

As far as I know there is a cat, a dog and a pony in the Pretty Pets line. Each of the animals also has its own name like Happy Unicorn or Love Puppy. With each pet comes a heartshaped necklace for said pet on which the name "Pretty Pets" is printed, a ribbon and a comb. The same figurine was produced in various colors.

The Rainbow Pretty Pets serie consists only out of ponies as far as I know. Single ponies but also mother with baby sets. The ponies also wear their own name like Clyde Horse and also confusingly anew Happy Unicorn (as in the Pretty Pets set thus). The Pretty Pets and the Rainbow Pretty Pets ponies can easily be held apart as only the ponies from the Rainbow series have rainbow colored hair. In each package also comes a rainbow shaped necklace for the pony, a ribbon and a brush.
